Made Thai Green Curry. From scratch. Stir fried some cornstarch-covered chicken and bell peppers and bamboo shoots to go with it.

We went to a Thai grocery store and bought some stuff, but it was really small and they didn't have everything. We bumped into an amiable Thai woman there, though, who got really excited because we were trying to make curry from scratch. She drove home and grabbed some of the ingredients from her house that we wouldn't have been able to find unless we trucked over to Echo Park and gave them to us. We tried to pay her, but she said that seeing us trying to make it from scratch was reward enough.

Every once in a while, you find a person that's willing to go out of their way to do something nice for you, even though you will never see them again, and probably wouldn't have done the same. Doing that once in a while is probably good, if only to throw people off.

Curry: There are so many random things you have to put in it. In the end though, it is totally awesome and customizable and delicious.

If you don't want to go through the trouble, at LEAST get some lime leaves and just tear them up and smell them. It's more addicting than bubble wrap.

So, unless I happen to have easy teeth and this is totally a special case, Dr. Lytle is the man. Extremely minor pain, and all I've been taking is the ibuprofen (well, also the antibiotics, but that probably doesn't help dull any pain). I don't think I should be taking the Vicodin and driving. Supposedly you can't take too much Vicodin because of all the aspirin in it, but if you crumble it, dissolve it in water, and then strain it through a coffee filter... I should probably just throw them away.

Left side has almost completely stopped bleeding. If it weren't for Zeke and Anna's help with making some of the best damn lobster bisque and butternut squash soup ever, I think these last two days would be a lot less tolerable. Last day of non-solid foods, and then I think I'm going to try and make some risotto.

I highly recommend finding a friend that likes to bake and giving them fresh cake yeast. That dough will not stop rising. Extremely fluffy and light breads. Goes great with bisque :-) And the yeast smells like beer! yes I huffed the yeast.

30% packed. Moving to Burbank with Henry, within biking distance to work. My goals this year are saving money and power.
